Business Access Manager, Biosimilars, Northern UK

IQVIA is seeking an experienced and driven Business Access Manager to support the UK launch of a highly anticipated monoclonal antibody in Nephrology Rare Diseases specifically PNH and aHUS. This is a field-based role ideally suited to someone located in the North of England with the flexibility to travel across the UK as required.Our client is a global biopharmaceutical leader committed to expanding access to high-quality biosimilar medicines. Since 2012 theyve built one of the fastest-growing biosimilar portfolios in the industry helping to improve patient outcomes while reducing healthcare costs.Location: North of England (Manchester Leeds Newcastle or surrounding areas preferred)Territory: Primarily Northern UK with occasional travel to other UK sites as neededKey Responsibilities:Commercial Leadership: Manage commercial activities across 3040 specialist rare disease centres throughout the UK.Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with hospital stakeholders including clinicians hospital managers and high-cost drug pharmacists to drive product uptake and patient access.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams to ensure decision-makers are fully informed and supported for optimal prescribing.Market Development: Position the company as a trusted partner in the biosimilars and biologics space.Insight Gathering: Monitor and report on competitor activity treatment trends and prescribing criteria.Sales Delivery: Achieve sales targets and contribute to market share growth.Skills & Experience:Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Health Economics Life Sciences or a related field.Certifications: ABPI qualified.Therapy Area Expertise: Strong experience in nephrology is essentialparticularly in rare diseases such as PNH aHUS or with complement inhibitors.Industry Background: Prior experience in biosimilars or biologics is highly desirable.Sales Experience: 35 years in UK pharmaceutical sales engaging with specialist stakeholders in secondary care.Relationship Builder: Proven ability to develop impactful partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders.Collaborative Mindset: A resilient team player with strong leadership and communication skills.Innovative Approach: Creative thinker with excellent presentation and influencing capabilities.Mobility: Willing to travel regularly across the UK.
