E-Learning Content Creator
12 Month FTC
We are currently offering a unique opportunity for an E-Learning Content Creator to join our Training team, for a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role will assist in the implementation of our new Learning Management System, by collaborating with key business stakeholders, the Technical Training team, and Human Resources to provide eLearning material for the new LMS. This role will also include administrative support, project coordination, and the creation of materials and learning content for the Learning Management System in all forms (PP, SCORM, etc.). This includes updating or reworking existing training materials, as well as creating new content.
About The Role
How will you contribute:
- Create engaging and effective training courses and learning materials.
- Utilise instructional design principles to develop learning content, learning objectives, user guides and assessment methods
- Develop multimedia content, including videos, interactive simulations, quizzes, and other eLearning resources.
- Use authoring tools like Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar software to create content.
- Produce and edit videos for training purposes to be added to modules for e-learning.
- Input and upload course content, learning materials, and assessments into the LMS.
- Organise and structure courses as well as administering approval lines within the LMS for easy navigation and access for learners and managers.
- Test courses within the LMS to ensure functionality, usability, and accuracy.
- Assist in overseeing and coordinating the project daily, working closely with the project lead and project stakeholders.
- Coordinate change control processes and change approval meetings, ensure project milestones are met, and that the agreed timelines and documentation is maintained.
- Coordinating technical and user testing, ensuring that all issues and fixes are recorded and that arrangements are made for test sign-offs.
What will you Bring.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- A Qualification in training, adult education, and/or multimedia training and/or materials development is beneficial.
- A Qualification in HTML and audio and video editing software would be beneficial.
- Relevant experience in training, adult education, and/or multimedia training and/or materials development.
- Proven experience in eLearning instructional design is essential
- Experience with Learning Management Systems as a developer or administrator is preferred
- Experience with HTML and audio and video editing software is preferred.
- Experience with IT Communications and Marketing is preferred.
- Ability to write effective instructional text, audio scripts, and video scripts and experience with video creation software.
- Proficiency in authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate and graphic design.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong project coordination skills, with significant organisational and analytical skills
PLEASE NOTE: This role is subject to
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Ability to travel to our other port, in Stanford-Le-Hope, when necessary.
- Ability to work the full 12-month Fixed Term Contract
- A full valid UK driving licence or appropriate international licence allowing you to drive on UK roads.
- No unspent criminal convictions
