An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Audit Manager to join a large independent firm of Chartered Accountants in Salisbury.Our client is looking for someone ambitious to manage and lead a variety of audit assignments from start to finish, ensuring they are completed efficiently and within the required deadlines. You will also oversee a team of junior staff, mentoring and guiding them on technical complex issues.Key duties include:-Managing various audit assignments from start through to completion, allocating work to relevant members of the audit team, ensuring deadlines are met and standards are complied with at all times.Compiling audit instructions where the firm act as group auditors, for dissemination to component auditors. Directing the approach of component auditors and assessing riskReviewing audit work of overseas subsidiaries / IFRS / contract accounting / acquisitions / disposals / restructures and other higher level complexities within both file and financial statementsEnsuring delivery of high-quality audit files, capable of achieving a high rating in both internal and external file quality reviewsMaintaining commitment to producing high quality work in all aspects of audit work.Demonstrating a clear understanding of clients’ business, objectives, challenges and risks sufficient to brief more junior colleagues on assignment and direct work accordingly
