Description

As a UX Designer you'll be expected to bring creative range and a depth of thinking to this role. You'll be at the forefront of UX design solutions that employ and improve our principles, standards and design patterns, centred around best practice, consistency and re-use. You'll consider the holistic customer experience and the end to end journeys, ensuring clear journey maps are in place and maintained as well as designing new features and continuously improving our current journeys.

You will work collaboratively with a wider UX/Research team, the BA's and the developers, ensuring your designs flow technically and working through any technical challenges, ensuring the customer journeys is always protected.

Please note we have permanent and fixed term contract positions available.

What you will do:

  1. Conduct user research to understand the needs, behaviours, and pain points of pension holders and administrators.
  2. Analyse user feedback, usability testing results, and metrics to identify opportunities for improvement in the pension service platform.
  3. Create wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes to visualize and iterate on design concepts.
  4. Ensure that designs adhere to GDS design principles, emphasizing simplicity, clarity, and accessibility.
  5. Develop visually appealing and consistent user interfaces for digital pension platforms, considering branding guidelines and accessibility standards.
  6. Ensure that pension service platforms comply with accessibility standards (such as WCAG) to accommodate users with diverse abilities and needs.
  7. Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders throughout the design process to align on project goals and priorities.
  8. Iterate on design solutions based on user feedback, stakeholder input, and usability testing results.
  9. Use an agile methodology to rapidly prototype, test, and refine design concepts, ensuring continuous improvement of the pension service platform.

What we are looking for:

  1. Experience in designing digital journeys including creating wire frames, prototypes and user flows), with an understanding of design standards, accessibility and SEO
  2. Knowledge of working with design tools such as Figma / Adobe Suite
  3. Experience of the Azure platform
  4. Worked with or an understanding of GDS (Government Design Systems)
  5. Experience of working in an Agile UX environment
  6. Can demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to articulate information in front of stakeholders.
  7. Experience of working within Financial Services and pensions would be preferable
