This role focuses on designing fluid, responsive motion interactions for 1.38-inch resolution screens, considering hardware constraints, haptic feedback, and real-world usability.

As part of the Innovation Team, you will work cross-functionally with product designers, engineers, and stakeholders to develop next-generation consumer technology. The ideal candidate moves fast, iterates quickly, and balances aesthetic excellence with technical feasibility in undefined spaces.

Responsibilities:
  • Design motion interactions for small-screen IoT devices.
  • Develop rapid prototypes to test and refine interactions in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
  • Optimize animations for low-powered devices, considering frame rate, processor limitations, user touch behavior, and embedded hardware constraints.
  • Integrate haptic feedback with motion design, ensuring seamless user interactions.
  • Ensure usability, accessibility, and brand consistency in motion behaviors.
  • Work closely with engineers to implement motion designs efficiently, ensuring smooth integration into embedded systems, hardware constraints, and firmware restrictions.
Requirements:
  • Expertise in Motion UI/UX Design for wearables, IoT, or small-screen interfaces.
  • Proficiency in After Effects, Principle, Figma, ProtoPie, or similar motion tools.
  • Experience designing micro-interactions and motion flows for small form-factor devices.
  • Strong understanding of touch-based interactions, spatial UI, and animation optimization.
  • Experience designing haptic feedback interactions and multi-sensory UI experiences.
  • Ability to work quickly, iterate rapidly, and adapt to evolving product needs.
Soft Skills:
  • Creative Problem-Solving: Able to design within technical constraints while maintaining usability.
  • Agility & Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-moving, high-stakes environment.
  • Strong Collaboration: Works well with engineers, product teams, and leadership.
  • Detail-Oriented: Ensures motion design is pixel perfect and enhances user experience without adding complexity.
