This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong technical foundations and a desire to grow into a broader management role. What Youll Be Doing: Leading and mentoring a small team of 3 engineers (soon to be 4), including a junior engineer Reviewing and improving existing designs across a wide range of mechanical products Supporting the transition from design to production and manufacturing Getting involved in all aspects of the design lifecyclefrom concept to productionising Working onsite full-time in a collaborative, fast-paced environment What Were Looking For: 5 years of mechanical design experience, ideally in a regulated or precision engineering environment Strong 3D CAD skillsSolidEdge preferred, but not essential Some leadership or mentoring experiencemanaging experienced and junior engineers British national with a valid British passport (due to export/trade restrictions) Within 1 hour commute of Oldhamno hybrid or remote working available Nice to Have: CFD experience (FLOEFD) Familiarity with GD&T principles Experience in bespoke or low-to-mid volume manufacturing (200250 units/week) Exposure to flow performance evaluation or similar analysis tools What Youll Get: Salary between £65,000£75,000 depending on experience 25 days holiday bank holidays 4% matched pension contribution A chance to grow into a key leadership role with training and support Were looking for aPrinciple Design Engineerwho brings energy, enthusiasm, and a strong cultural fit to the team.
