You will be responsible for the following dutiesAuction Porter Duties * You will be required to handle a wide range of valuable items, from large pieces of furniture and paintings to delicate ceramic and glass, * Assisting with the day-to-day saleroom duties * Dealing with customers and stock items * Assisting with the preparation of internet catalogues * Receiving, photographing, displaying and processing lots * Picking and packing purchased lots for dispatch * Supporting customers with loading their vehicles * Loading and unloading vans * Other general duties including viewing and sale day roles.Auction Porter RequirementsThe ideal candidate will have the following qualities * Good customer service skills * Written and spoken English * Good computer and Internet skills * Good attention to detail and being a fast and conscientious learner * Have a methodological approach to work * Experience in antiques and collectables preferable * An interest in or experience in photography will be an advantage otherwise training will be provided * A good work ethic * Flexibility to vary work hours and work roles as part of a team where necessary * Must be legally entitled to work in the UK * Be reliable, able to cope with a physically demanding role and have a good employment track record. * Experience of working to tight deadlines
