This role is for a Credit Controller within the accounting and finance department of a professional services firm based in Manchester. The individual will be tasked with managing and controlling credit, ensuring effective cash flow, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and colleagues.

Description

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage and control credit to ensure effective cash flow and minimise risk.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Provide accurate and timely financial information to the management team.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
  • Resolve customer queries and disputes in a timely and professional manner.
  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure credit issues are resolved quickly.
  • Perform regular account reconciliations and report on any discrepancies.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall success of the finance department.

Profile

The successful candidate requires:

  • Proven experience in a credit control role.
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
