Help get better trained personnel to the front line faster This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced professional to make a lasting impact by mentoring the next generation of Royal Navy engineersleveraging your career expertise without the need for prior teaching experienceProject Selborne is a Transformational Training programme with a strategic goal of modernising Royal Navy training to deliver better trained sailors to the front line faster.Your role will be to provide support to the delivery of training across Hull Structures skills area.This role is offered on a term time basis working 45 weeks per year with non-working weeks taken 2 weeks at Christmas and Easter and 3 weeks in August. The salary will therefore be pro ratad and calculated to include contractual annual leave entitlement and bank holidays.Due to the nature of this role you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level.Job title:Training Delivery Instructor - Ships Hull Structure EngineeringJob Description:What youll be doingEnsuring outstanding relationships with the customer and within Ships Hull Structure training area.Delivering theory based training in Marine structure (ships & submarines)To assist in maintaining and updating training documentation and assess student course work to provide feedback on performanceUtilise best practice across the establishment to inform and direct quality and improvement activities across RN training.What were looking forEssential Skills/Experience/QualificationsLevel 3 qualified in a Marine DisciplineBe proficient in the use of IT (hardware/software) within the workplaceUnderstanding of ships/submarines structures and applicationsExperience in the marine industry and knowledge of its principles.Desirable Skills/Experience/QualificationsPrevious instructional experience in a military or civilian engineering environmentLevel 4 Teaching Qualification / DTC Defence Trainer Course or equivalent.About SelborneSelborne is a wide scale 12 year transformation of Royal Navy Training.
