Description#Li-OnsiteAt CooperSurgical we are currently looking to recruit a Laboratory Assistant to our Clinical services within genetic testing are growing and we are expanding the team. You will be part of a team of eight laboratory scientists reporting to the Laboratory Manager. The position is based at our facilities in Kings Cross London England.Location: On-site and full timePositionThis is an entry level clinicalLaboratory assistantposition under the direction of the Laboratory Manager.The daily activities may consist of processing and receiving of clinical samples data entry or other duties as assigned in accordance with the Quality Management System (QMS) under ISO 15189:2022.Sample handling may consist of sample receipt accession preparation processing analysis storage and safe disposal. Sample processing may consist of performing Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) PCR or other analytical techniques. The data management may consist of use of paper or electronic systems to ensure immaculate record keeping in accordance with GDPR requirements to maintain patient confidentiality and accurate results and reports.Compliance is maintained through strict adherence to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The role as laboratory scientist is vital to the grown plans for our Clinical services you will be able to excel and develop.Your key responsibilitiesReceive accession process and report on cases and samplesOperate manual and automated clinical test instruments and information systemsAdhere to all laboratorys policies procedures and codes of practice for all activities assigned under theQuality Management System (QMS).Data entry and managementMaintain clean orderly and safe work environment including laboratory cleaning and maintenance activities.Perform concurrent data entry with focus on data integrity maintaining Good Documentation Practices (GDP).Attend and participate in lab meetings.Other duties as assignedMay require occasional overtime including weekendsYour Qualifications and RequirementsBachelor in Biomedical Sciences Genetics Biology ChemistryExperience in a regulated environment desiredAttention to detailTeamwork and patienceTime management skillsStructured and systematic approachGood communicator and team playerProficient level in MS officeFluent English (spoken and written) is mandatoryWhy join CooperSurgicalWe offer a position within a dynamic globally leading high growth company.
