Digital with Purpose.We’re recruiting a Digital Capability Manager to focus on permanent recruitment and 3rd party resourcing.You’ll join a team that is central to supporting the attraction, development, and retention of highly skilled people in DWP’s Digital and Transformation Group - building an inclusive and supportive culture through professional communities and great in-hub working environments, enabling everyone to succeed.There are two key elements of this role. Firstly, you’ll be leading the team responsible for the recruitment of contingent labour for Government Digital and Data (GDD) roles, enabling our strategic resourcing model.And secondly, supporting the operational contract management of the Public Sector Resourcing (PSR) contract for the department.Day to day you will:Ensure recruitment and third-party resourcing comply with governance frameworks.Build strong stakeholder relationships to support decision-making and deliver quality outcomes.Manage governance processes for third-party resources and act as secretariat for a senior board.Handle escalations, using data and stakeholder input to develop and present solutions.Support operational contract management, working with Commercial teams to ensure suppliers meet expectations.Lead implementation of new service offers, developing processes and supporting products with your team.More about your role as Digital Capability Manager (3rd Party Resourcing):You’ll lead a team delivering contingent labour recruitment for DTG, ensuring compliance with departmental and government policies. Acting as the escalation point, you’ll use data to resolve issues and present options to senior leaders.You’ll also oversee operational contract management, collaborating with Commercial colleagues and suppliers to maintain service standards.This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills, as well as the ability to influence strategic decisions and support delivery of the People Plan.The skills, knowledge and experience you need to demonstrate in your application:Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders across multiple departments and organisations, ensuring compliance with complex policies and governance frameworks.Ability to act as a point of escalation, using data and stakeholder input to develop, evaluate, and present effective solutions to senior audiences.Experience supporting operational contract management activities, working collaboratively with Commercial teams and contract users to ensure effective delivery and compliance.Demonstrable ability to provide expert advice and support, acting as a subject matter expert to ensure suppliers consistently meet operational and contractual expectations.Leading a team to provide a high-quality managed service across an organisation to meet strategic demands or business objectives.Details:Location: You'll join us in one of our brilliant digital hubs in; Blackpool, Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester , Newcastle or Sheffield whichever is the most convenient for you.Hybrid working: We work a hybrid model - You'll spend some time working at home and some time collaborating face-to-face in a hub.Pay: £44,447 per annumPension: Department for Work and Pensions contributes £12,876 towards you being a member of the Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension scheme.Holidays: A generous leave package starting at 25 days rising to 30 over time. You can take up to 3 extra days off a month on flexitime.
