The Finance Business Partner will act as a trusted advisor to the Banbury leadership team, providing timely and insightful financial analysis to support decision-making, maximise returns, and build a cost-conscious, continuous-improvement culture. The organisation specialises in the development and production of advanced composite materials and components for high-technology industries. This is a fast-paced, innovative environment where strong financial partnership is essential. Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Partnering & Leadership SupportLead month-end activities, reporting actual performance vs. forecast, budget, and long-range plan with clear analysis and commentaryPrepare site forecasts, annual budgets, and strategic financial plansProvide financial insight and analysis to support effective leadership decisionsChallenge the business to deliver against commitments and support growth initiativesBuild robust business cases for key strategic programmes, challenging assumptions where neededPrepare and deliver financial reporting packs for leadership reviewFinancial Control & GovernanceMaintain a strong financial control environment in line with company policies and relevant accounting standardsSupport preparation of capital investment cases and provide financial challengeCoordinate internal and external audit activity for the Banbury Finance teamProcess Improvement & CollaborationCollaborate across functions to drive improvements and promote best practiceActively contribute to CI and Lean initiativesPromote a continuous-improvement mindset across the siteTeam Development & Stakeholder EngagementCoach and develop Finance Analysts to build wider team capabilityBuild and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, ensuring leaders are fully informed and supportedContribute to the delivery of Finance for Non-Finance training across the sitePerson SpecificationEssential Experience & SkillsSignificant post-qualified experience (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent)Strong commercial acumen and experience developing investment/business casesBackground in manufacturing or engineeringProven business partnering experience with senior leadershipAdvanced analytical and problem-solving skillsHigh proficiency in MS Office, especially ExcelExcellent communication and influencing skillsResilient, proactive, and hands-on approachStrong decision-making ability and adaptabilityAbility to work onsite in Banbury four days per weekDesirableKnowledge of relevant GAAP and internal control frameworksExperience with SAP, HFM, or similar financial systemsTPBN1_UKTJ
