Compliance Manager

  • Develop contractual relationship and services provided by specialist H&S and Fire Safety consultants. Assist functional managers in compliance strategies and review the progress of compliance activities. Review and update the Building Safety Tracker
  • Review and update Building Safety Fund Applications
  • Support managers in obtaining risk mitigation funding where available.
  • Support managers in implementing interim measures to mitigate risk.
  • Maintain and review records of all external wall system issues and remediation projects.
  • Ensure all activities are compliant with current legislation and best practice.
  • Assist and update compliance related procurement e.g., fire doors / risk assessments.
  • Liaise directly with Head of Technical as necessary to progress any task, project and meet deadlines. Maintain/create info pack to Operational Team on site and off site to demonstrate what we are responsible for including but not limited to asset list, contractors assigned, Fire Safety measures, PIB info etc.
  • Ensure cost-effective maintenance where applicable.
  • Ensure compliance policies and processes are in line with current legislation and best practice.
  • Send communications in relation to Fire Safety as per the guidance - eg annual update regarding the evacuation or stay put process

Skills:

  • Good understand of the fire safety and building safety act.
  • Good knowledge of QUBE computer system.
  • Good knowledge of windows-based applications - i.e., Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Good understanding of compliance legalisation and best practice
  • Good understanding of Fire/Building safety legalisation.
