You’ll work alongside a dedicated maintenance team, process team and Team Manager using control platforms such as SCADA and PRISM to operate the work.We love helping our people grow. In this role, as part of your technical training you’ll complete a Level 2 apprenticeship over 12–15 months, with monthly training at our Academy. If you don’t have GCSEs, we’ll support you to achieve Functional Skills Level 1 first.You’ll build a portfolio of work, get plenty of guidance, and show your skills through on-site assessments - everything you need to succeedThis position requires participation in out of hours standby duties as part of a scheduled rota.Your Key Accountabilities Will IncludeOperate distribution service reservoirs (DSR) and distribution booster stations (DBS) associated assets.Maintain & improve site standards and identify health and safety improvements.Operate the assets under your control to ensure that all quality and quantity limits are me and that there is no adverse impact on the environment.Ensure the health & safety of yourself, colleagues, visitors and members of the public is always maintained.Ensure sites are operated at a minimum cost in an energy efficient way.Comply with statutory, company policies and procedures.Operate and maintain boreholes and groundwater sources, ensuring effective water treatment processes, including nitrate removal plants and Enhanced Water Treatment (EWT) systems.WHAT WE'ER LOOKING FORWe’re looking for someone with strong organisational skills, who’s able to manage multiple tasks under pressure while meeting deadlines. You should be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication skills and the ability to analyse information to identify potential issues.Experience in a mechanical or electrical environment is advantageous, and knowledge of chemical processes is beneficial. A full, valid UK driving licence is essential. Flexibility to work shifts and participate in standby duties is necessary.Depending on experience, the successful candidate will be required to complete and achieve either; a technical skills bootcamp or Level 2 Water Process Operator apprenticeship, which are delivered internally by our Academy.Skills and experience are important, but character, positivity, and a caring attitude matter too.
