Our Water Quality and Environment team have an opportunity for you to join as our new **Technical Planner.**

In your new role, you’ll be responsible for providing expert technical knowledge around asset availability, site technical requirements and aiding trouble shooting in the field, whilst also ensuring effective resource management within the team.

You’ll be dealing with customers directly and will be responsible for a reactive and non-reactive planning and scheduling service to the Monitoring Team. You will take accountability for all regulatory sampling information being accurately entered and maintained on the Company’s Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) Sample Manager and that supporting records comply and support the ISO 17025 UKAS accreditation.

Some of your other key accountabilities will include:

- Liaising with a number of departments such as Water Production operations, Public Health & Standards Team, COSC and laboratories with respect to data and information integrity, health and safety, operational processes and reporting of milestones and targets.
- Ensuring that data issues are updated and maintained in a timely manner for DWI data submission
- including data for all STW assets, owning all anomalies and following through to resolution.
- Providing the direct liaison with internal customer such as PH&S and COSC, working together to agree priorities and resourcing with these teams.
- Direct contact with external customers, providing first class customer service by owning the customers issue and ensuring we deliver on time.
- Being an expert user on systems including Sample Manager, Remote Sampler, Quislite, GISTT, C Track, Loneworker and eSCADA in order to deliver effective sampling programme.
- Based out of our depot in Tittesworth you work hours of 8am - 4pm Monday to Friday with one week in six where you’ll work 11am - 7pm including the weekend with a day off before or after that week.

**WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE**

We’re seeking our new Technical Planner to recognises the importance of customer experience and have the capability to help your team by monitoring performance and optimising their workload.

To be successful, it’s expected that you’ll have strong I.T, logístical and negotiation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally and remain professional whilst being under pressure. You’ll also be able to plan and arrange routine work, regulatory failures, and customer complaints in a short space of time.

You’ll ideally have a form of scientific qualification and experience with a regulatory sampling environment and organisation. You’ll have a wide-ranging understanding of the technical aspects of a role and be able to use I.T systems efficiently.

As this role involves travel a Full UK Driving License is Required.
