Operational Risk Analyst

MERJE are working with a well known investment manager in their search for a dedicated Operational Risk specialist on a 12 month FTC basis.Reporting into the Head of Risk & Compliance, you will be responsible for:Supporting the Head of Risk & Compliance with oversight and embedding of the operational risk frameworkResponsible for 2nd line review and monitoring of risk event management, including review and challenge of risk events, ensuring adequate documentation is produced and identification of root cause into the 1st line of defence process improvements on an ongoing basis.Reporting on risk matters to committees, providing high quality documentation and MI.Support improvement of the risk processes and implementation of changes in business.Develop and maintain a working knowledge of relevant best practice, legal and regulatory standards with respect to operational risk.Responsible for conducting RCSA reviews and performing control testing to evaluate effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.Background/Experience:At least 2 years’ experience within an operational risk roleExperience of working within an FCA-regulated Investment or Asset ManagerWorking knowledge of risk management concepts and prevention measuresStrong communication skillsStrong stakeholder management skillsStrong attention to detailFantastic opportunity to join a well known investment firm who are offering excellent work/life balance - only need to be in their Bristol office 1 day each week.
