Ecological Consultant. An Edinburgh based environmental consulting firm are looking for an Ecological Consultant to join the team. The Ecological Consultant role will include a requirement to assist with business generation, project management and mentoring of junior staff. The Ecological Consultant should be members of, or working towards membership of the CIEEM or an equivalent professional body.

The Ecological Consultant will:

  • To provide a high standard of scoping, survey design, survey capability and factual, interpretative, advisory, Ecological Impact Assessment and legal reporting output, adhering to deadlines and working in a safe, accurate, timely and effective manner.
  • To deliver ecological surveys to a high standard
  • To ensure compliance with Health and Safety requirements at all times
  • To act as Project Manager for projects awarded to the company.
  • To provide specialist site based support to clients through delivery of ECoW role
  • To effectively manage sub-contractors and to quality check that the work and deliverables are undertaken/provided to the standard required.
  • To mentor junior members of staff where required to do so.
  • To play an active part in attracting new clients and generating new business for the company.
