Project Manager

Location – Leicestershire

Reporting to Head of Projects

Salary - £55,000


Our Leicester based clients require a passionate and driven Project Manager to join their in a full time and permanent role working with a variety of global brands delivering end-to-end creative retail solutions—from store designs to exhibitions, POS and shop in shops that successfully capture customers and results.

You will be tasked with and responsible for delivering projects on time, within budget and to a high standard to meet client’s expectations. This role requires someone that is diligent - planning and executing within a multiple supplier environment so you will need to be highly organised, thorough and a stickler for detail.

Experience in manufacturing, working with a variety of materials (particularly in retail display and shop fitting) is essential and experience of working with both UK and European suppliers.

You will be a confident communicator, able to work well with internal teams, external suppliers and clients and always happy to go the extra mile to make things happen.


Responsibilities

• Lead and manage fast-paced projects from conception to completion within timeframe and budget.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives to exceeding client expectations.

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans - timelines, costing, and resources ensuring alignment with client.

• Proactively monitor/report on project progress, identifying risks

• Communicate regularly and transparently with stakeholders to ensure expectations are met/issues are addressed

• Record, manage, and cost any project variations to maintain financial control.

• Oversee all aspects of production and delivery with a sharp focus on quality, accuracy, and meeting deadlines.

• Cultivate strong supplier relationships, drawing on your experience to ensure favourable terms.

• Handle supplier orders, verifying accuracy and approving invoices for payment.

• Ensure timely delivery and prompt resolution of any snagging to achieve completion.

• Conduct post-project reviews, analysing successes and areas for improvement to continually perform

• Attend or lead meetings with clients, colleagues, contractors, and suppliers to drive project success.


Experience

• 2-5 years project management experience within a design agency and a PM qualification or similar

• Excellent organisational skills, multi-tasking, problem solving and decision making capabilities

• Capable of thriving under pressure and managing time and multiple priorities simultaneously ensuring projects run smoothly and on time.

• Strong commercial acumen, quoting and financial skills with experience in managing strict budgets and delivering cost-effective solutions.

• Knowledge of manufacturing and construction techniques and experience working with a variety of materials to

deliver high-quality finishes.

• Expertise in managing UK and European suppliers, ensuring efficiency and reliability.

• Excels at building relationships both internally and externally

• Leadership and cross-functional team management and co-ordination

• Willingness and ability to travel

• Strong IT skills, excellent English skills (written & spoken)

• Knowledge of European logistics and supply chain management would be an advantage
