We’re looking for an experienced care professional to join our team in Eynsham, Oxford as a care manager. You will use your strong administrative and customer service skills to work closely with our operations team, being accountable for the successful delivery of hourly care to our clients. You will have responsibility from the point of placement start, through to the ongoing management of staffing and care needs, enabling our clients to stay in their own homes and communities.
As care manager in our domiciliary care team, you will ensure we continue to deliver a high level of customer service to our clients, their representatives and our carers through positive and proactive professional engagement.

Your role will involve:
As a Care Manager, you will promote Oxford Aunts' culture, values, and ways of working. Your responsibilities will include ensuring carer retention and stability, and maintaining full compliance with internal and external policies, procedures, and standards. You will manage placements in and around Oxford, to ensure client retention and stability, support and maintain organic sales growth, and conduct robust risk assessments. A key part of your role will be identifying the needs of your portfolio of clients and then creating and implementing a plan of care to meet these needs and bring about positive change. You must have strong planning, organisation and prioritisation skills as well as assertiveness, compassion and empathy.
We’re looking for:
- Experience in the health and social care sector with an understanding of the expectations of a carers role and subsequent support required for both carers and clients
- An ability to prioritise effectively, plan and organise
- A strong risk assessor with appropriate knowledge and skill to deliver safety for both client and carer
- Confident to undertake meetings with new clients and families and promote the benefits of Oxford Aunts’ service
- Excellent written communication and accustomed to care planning creation, review and delivery
- Experience of staff supervision and appraisal processes
- Experience of working collaboratively with clients, client families, key stakeholders and healthcare professionals
- Articulate with excellent customer service skills
- Experience with dealing with difficult and challenging situations with a positive outcome
- An ability to problem solve and risk assess
- An ability to stay calm and to work at a fast pace, both independently and within a team
- A driver with a car based within a 70 mile radius of Oxford
- IT literate; able to use word, excel, laptop and tablet functions
- An ability to multitask, be highly organised and able to work to conflicting and challenging deadlines
- Happy to be part of an on call service during the week and occasional weekends
Desirable:
- Has held a role within the medical profession including but not limited to: Nursing, Occupational Therapy, and/or Physiotherapy
- Holds a Degree Qualification or Care sector related to a minimum of Level 3 or would be prepared to work towards Health & Social Care level 3 or higher
