Textile Operative

We are currently working in partnership with one of our prestigious textile clients, as we are looking for Textile Operatives, in particular Weavers and Menders. Textiles experience is essential, full training will be provided. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity which is available with an immediate start.Easily commutable via bus links from Oldham Town Centre.Hours of work:Monday – Thursday 7am – 5pm39 hour working week over 4 days**Temporary to Permanent** Rate of pay:£11.44 per hour Role Specification for Mender:Check and remove/mend by hand, any occured defects within the woven fabricEstablish the best method of mending faults such as holes, knots and drop endsUsing hand tools to mend the fabricFollowing internal quality proceduresCompletion of Production Order paperworkGeneral housekeeping/cleaningThe process requires attention to detail, high levels of concentration and standing for long periods of timePerson Specification:The successful candidate will have the following: * Experience is essential within the textile industry * Good concentration and an excellent eye for detail * Ability to learn and pick things up quicklyAny Other Business: .Please note due to the volume of applicants, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
