MacGregor Black is delighted to partner with a manufacturing business in their search for a Group Finance Director This is a permanent position based in Manchester.


Overview:


Reporting to the Commercial Director and collaborating closely with the Senior Leadership team, the Group Finance Director is a high-performing, commercially minded finance professional dedicated to driving efficient and rapid growth. This pivotal role involves shaping the financial strategy and working with the commercial team to plan and support expansion.


The Group Finance Director's expertise in corporate finance is crucial for evaluating the best options to fuel the company’s growth.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Strategic Financial Leadership: The Group Finance Director will lead and manage the global finance team to ensure all financial reporting is accurate, efficient, robust, and relevant. They will collaborate with international business units to help them understand and leverage financial information to drive performance.


  • Commercial Growth: The Group Finance Director will partner with commercial teams to plan and execute growth strategies. They will evaluate and assess projects, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives to ensure alignment with business goals and deliver value.


  • Corporate Finance: The Group Finance Director will identify and secure the most efficient and appropriate funding solutions to support global growth. They will build and maintain strong relationships with financial partners to ensure the long-term financial health of the company.


  • Global Operations: The Group Finance Director will address the challenges of operating a global business by aligning finance, reporting, IT, and operational efficiency across all regions. They will implement best practices to streamline processes and enhance overall performance.


  • Stakeholder Engagement: The Group Finance Director will communicate financial insights and strategies to senior management and key stakeholders. They will provide guidance and support to ensure informed decision-making and effective execution of growth plans.


Qualifications and Experience:


  • Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role, preferably within a global organisation.
  • Strong background in corporate finance, with a track record of driving growth and delivering strategic projects.
  • Excellent commercial acumen and the ability to work closely with commercial teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Experience in managing and developing international finance teams.
  • Ability to navigate and manage the complexities of a global business environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field;
  • Professional Accounting Qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
