MacGregor Black is thrilled to collaborate with an FMCG company in their pursuit of a Group Finance Director. This role is permanent and based in Manchester.
Overview:
Reporting to the Commercial Director and working closely with the Senior Leadership team, the Group Finance Director is a high-caliber finance professional committed to driving efficient growth. This key role involves shaping financial strategy and collaborating with the commercial team to plan and support expansion. The expertise in corporate finance possessed by the Group Finance Director is vital for evaluating options to fuel the company's growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Financial Leadership: Leading and managing the global finance team to ensure accurate, efficient, robust, and relevant financial reporting. Collaborating with international business units to help leverage financial information for performance improvement.
- Commercial Growth: Partnering with commercial teams to strategize and implement growth plans. Evaluating projects, acquisitions, and strategic initiatives to ensure they align with business goals and create value.
- Corporate Finance: Identifying and securing efficient funding solutions for global growth. Building strong relationships with financial partners to ensure the company's long-term financial health.
- Global Operations: Addressing global business challenges by aligning finance, reporting, IT, and operational efficiency across regions. Implementing best practices to streamline processes and enhance performance.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Communicating financial insights and strategies to senior management and key stakeholders. Providing guidance to ensure informed decision-making and effective execution of growth plans.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Senior finance leadership experience, preferably in a global organization.
- Strong background in corporate finance, demonstrating a track record of driving growth and delivering strategic projects.
- Excellent commercial acumen and ability to closely collaborate with commercial teams to achieve business objectives.
- Experience in managing and developing international finance teams.
- Ability to navigate the complexities of a global business environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- Professional Accounting Qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA).
