Commercial Real Estate Lawyer – EV Infrastructure (In-House)West Midlands (1–2 days in office, hybrid)£60,000–£70,000 + benefitsAbout the RoleMy client, a leading UK business within the travel, leisure and hospitality infrastructure sector, is seeking an experienced Lawyer with a strong background in EV, energy or infrastructure projects to join their in-house Legal Services Team.This role sits at the heart of the company’s national EV charging infrastructure rollout, working closely with the Director of Legal Services and collaborating with the EV, ESG and Renewables teams. You will lead legal input across a complex programme of projects, ensuring compliant, commercially sound and timely delivery.This is a strategic and hands-on in-house role, ideal for someone with a strong foundation in EV/energy/infrastructure legal work and a solid understanding of landlord & tenant law, planning, energy regulation, and commercial property transactions.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the legal workstreams for multiple EV charging and infrastructure projects across the UK estate.Draft, review and negotiate leases, wayleaves, grid connection agreements, land rights and associated commercial contracts.Provide clear, risk-aware and commercially grounded legal advice to internal teams and external stakeholders.Identify and resolve title, access, consent, regulatory and planning issues affecting project viability or timelines.Work collaboratively with grid providers (DNOs, IDNOs, ICPs), landlords, commercial partners (including CPOs) and regulators such as National Highways.Ensure project delivery aligns with statutory frameworks, industry standards and emerging energy sector regulation.Support ESG objectives and uphold organisational values of being committed, expert and transparent.Maintain accurate case management records, time recording and KPI documentation.Support process improvements, quality initiatives and where appropriate contribute to mentoring and professional development within the team.Candidate ProfileQualified Lawyer (England & Wales and/or Scotland) with a minimum of 3 years PQE.Demonstrable experience in EV, energy or infrastructure law is essential.Ideally exposure to commercial property transactions, including landlord & tenant matters.Strong working knowledge of planning, energy regulation, land rights and grid-related issues.Excellent drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.Commercially astute with the ability to balance legal risk with operational and commercial goals.Confident working autonomously while collaborating effectively across technical and non-technical teams.Occasional UK travel required.BenefitsSalary £60,000–£70,000, depending on experience.Comprehensive benefits package including healthcare, pension and life assurance.Employee discount platform and long-service recognition.32 days annual leave (pro rata).Free on-site parking and genuine hybrid working flexibility.If this opportunity is of interest, please apply directly or send any questions to abbey.graham@everec.co.uk.
