The Role:

As a Project Engineer, you will:

  • Lead Complex Engineering Projects: Manage projects involving cross-functional teams and multiple GMP disciplines, including process design, utilities, and cleanrooms.
  • Process Design: Develop and oversee the design of processes to ensure efficiency and compliance with GMP standards.
  • Design Qualification and Reviews: Conduct design qualifications, design reviews, and HAZOP studies to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Specification Management: Define and manage specifications for processes, equipment, components, instrumentation, automation, and consumables/disposables.
  • Change Control Management: Oversee change control processes to manage modifications in a controlled and documented manner.
  • Budget Development: Provide input into budget development and secure Opex and Capex funding for projects.
  • Automation Approach: Define the automation approach, including the Sequence of Operations and Functional Design Specifications (FDS).

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and completion of complex engineering projects.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget.
  • Develop detailed process designs and oversee their implementation.
  • Conduct design qualifications, design reviews, and HAZOP studies.
  • Specify and select process equipment, instrumentation, automation systems, and consumables.
  • Manage change control processes to ensure all modifications are documented and compliant with GMP standards.
  • Contribute to the development of project budgets and secure necessary funding.
  • Define and implement automation strategies, including the creation of Sequence of Operations and FDS documents.

You:

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Extensive experience in managing complex engineering projects within GMP environments.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in process design, equipment specification, automation, and change control management.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills, with a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and managing budgets.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to conduct design reviews, HAZOP studies, and develop functional design specifications.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address challenges and ensure project success.
