You’ll become a key player in our dynamic team, driving excellence in customer service, quality maintenance, and exceeding satisfaction levels.Core hours – 4 on 4 off (6am - 6pm days)Salary - £22.45 per hour + overtime rate of £33.67 per hourWe're looking for standout HGV Technicians to join our team on a full-time permanent basis from our Dagenham workshop. As an HGV Technician with us, you'll be instrumental in keeping some of the UK’s largest brands on the road, entrusted with inspections, maintenance, repairs, and servicing of our clients' fleets.Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and fix electrical, electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic issues
  • Overhaul electrical components and equipment
  • Perform welding and metalworking tasks (if authorized & qualified)
  • Utilize advanced machine tools and equipment (if authorized)
  • Conduct Department of Transport (MOT) testing (when suitably qualified)
  • Manage parts ordering and stores inventory
  • Mentor and support Apprentice Technicians
  • Maintain precise job records and details
  • Ensure workshop equipment is in top working condition
  • Uphold rigorous health, safety, and cleanliness standards
Skills & Experience:
  • NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Goods Vehicle maintenance or equivalent
  • Strong customer service mindset
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under deadlines
  • Self-motivated with a strong drive to excel
  • Proficient in comprehensive repair and servicing techniques
  • Diagnostic skills and qualifications are a plus
  • Prior fleet management experience is advantageous
