Job Description

Seeking an experienced and motivated Global Operations Support Leader, to lead operational improvements across manufacturing, supply chains, engineering, project management, and services. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the complexities of operations in different locations, regions, and demographics. This role requires influential leadership skills, a customer-centric approach, and the ability to implement process driven operational efficiency improvements.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services.
  • Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work.
  • Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders.
  • Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations.
  • Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
  • May lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity.
  • Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on particular topics.
  • May guide others to consider a different point of view.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • The role requires extensive travel globally to operating sites and regions.
  • Coaching Regional Teams for Continuous Improvement: The role entails coaching regional teams, including lean and functional leaders, to drive continuous improvement efforts effectively.
  • Responsible for instilling a culture of innovation and efficiency within the regional teams to implement lean methodologies and enhance operational performance.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Proven track record in leading and managing operational teams
Desired Characteristics
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives, drive change, and achieve sustained results.
  • Experience in the energy sector, including familiarity with manufacturing, engineering, quality, safety, and maintenance operations is highly desirable.
  • Ability to travel internationally.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Established project management skills.
  • Strong Project Environment Experience
  • Substantial experience in project environments.
  • Demonstrating proficiency in project management principles and methodologies, they should have a track record of successfully leading and delivering projects within the organization.
