Abouttherole


Keyaccountabilities include:

  1. Develop,future-proof, and maintain various corporate data sets. Considerthese data sets through different perspectives to produce strategicadvice for senior leaders to support them in decisionmaking.
  2. Embed transformational change in GroupFinance’s internal reporting by building new, and streamliningcurrent, reporting products and systemplatforms.
  3. Ensure the accurate and timelycompletion of the organisation’s committed reporting portfolio,which includes widely published datasets.
  4. Produce responses to Freedom ofInformation Requests and Parliamentary Questions related to theCorporate Centre Group on a breadth oftopics.
  5. Support on high-profile project-basedwork for senior leaders, such as Spending Reviews. Support thewider HM Treasury community in their various analytical projects byacting as an expert sounding board, building strong networks toallow for knowledge sharing and implementation of bestpractice.
  6. Line management of at least oneindividual, supporting and developing the line management chainalongside growing the analytical capability of the wider GroupFinanceteam.


Aboutyou

Our successful candidate willeither be working towards or have completed a professionalqualification related to Finance or Data Analytics. You will haveadvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a strong understandingof Power BI. You will be skilled atanalysing and using a range of relevant, credibleinformation from internal and external sources to support decisionsand make recommendations. You’ll be confident using technology toincrease efficiency and will be able to act promptly to reassessworkloads and priorities when there are conflicting demands tomaintain performance. Is this you?
