Data Officer – Peterborough
An urgent requirement has arisen for a keen and enthusiastic Data Officer to join our client based in Peterborough on a long-term contract. The successful candidate will have a strong aptitude for people management, driving forward meetings and actioning. Your main goal is to facilitate sessions with the business and IT teams to complete outstanding tasks, assumptions & risks to support deployment activities.
The ideal person should have a good background in Governance, Collaboration and Validation skills. A real bonus is DevOps management experience, facilitating sessions with the business and IT teams to complete outstanding tasks, assumptions & risks to support deployment activities.
- Checking data to ensure there is consistency across all templates.
- Support the population of data templates.
- Obtain definition on data field requirements in conjunction with the IT data leads.
- Support with daily Data Governance updates, ensuring dashboards are corrected.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with stakeholders of all levels.
- Support the communication of data requirements to new team members.
- Data DevOp’s management – documenting tasks & risks
- Compare pre-load and post-load for changes.
- Root cause the need for changes to data
- Facilitate data sign-offs.
- Identify data risks and raise concerns.
Technical Skills:
- Strong excel skills – specifically V-lookups, pivot tables and basic formulas.
- Power BI knowledge and capability
- Good working experience of the Microsoft suite eg. PowerPoint
- Basic Devops knowledge is a big plus
- Alteryx or similar tech knowledge desirable
