Equipment Engineer

Chelmsford

A global leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance systems and components are seeking an Equipment Engineer who will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, maintenance, and continuous improvement of manufacturing equipment.

Key Accountabilities - Equipment Engineer

+ Project work, installing new equipment and Equipment modifications.

+ Providing all the necessary documentation and training to others.

+ Respond rapidly to equipment issues, ensuring that a timely repair is carried out, and clear progress updates are provided to the production teams.

+ Lead cross functional teams within the organisation and external engineers, recording actions and minutes of meetings on the more complex issues as they arise.

+ Responsible for producing all risk assessments for all equipment.

+ Also host and control of contractors review their method statements and risk assessments issuing a permit to work.

Skills and knowledge required – Equipment Engineer

+ Experience in multi-disciplined role with a strong electronics skill.

+ Educated with a minimum of HNC in electronics.
