Class 1 Container Driver

Class 1 Container (C + E) HGV Driver

We are working with a client who is seeking for more HGV Class 1 Container (Cat C + E) drivers to add to their team. The client is needing at least 1 -2 year's experience with containers. You would be working with coal, glass, salt and sand. Drivers will need a dock card along with knowledge of the Liverpool port is desirable but not a necessity.

Main responsibilities:

  • Being accountable for the safe and timely delivery of goods on the vehicle
  • Being responsible for securing the goods in the vehicle and unloading at each drop
  • Perform daily checks on the vehicle and trailer and keep the vehicle to a high standard of cleanliness
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations

Experience:

- Class 1 (Cat C + E) driving experience (1 year minimum for insurance purposes)

- Valid CPC

- Clean driving record

- Dock card

Location:

Birkenhead

Salary:

£15ph - £19ph

Holiday pay accrued separately

Working Pattern:

Monday to Friday, alternative days (0800 start)

Job type:

Full time, Part time, Temp to perm
