Reed are currently recruiting for a Weighbridge Assistant, this is to be based onsite in Harlow.

Duties are as follows;

  • Safeguard the company against the loss of revenue or stocks by ensuring that all trucks in and out of the Plant are weighed appropriately and report any exceptions to your supervisor immediately.
  • Ensure that the truck is properly positioned on the weighbridge for incoming outgoing vehicles
  • Verifying loading/delivery documents to ensure that they match the physical truck on the weighbridge.
  • Issue loading documents
  • Prepare reports and treat all documents/information as confidential.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping around the weighbridge and especially the gaps between the weighing platform and the foundation for accurate weighing.

With a salary on offer up to £28,000 and 20 days holiday, we are looking for the following;

  • Computer literacy skills i.e. Excel, MS office.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team player and good at time management and organisational skills
  • Initiative, drive, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Previous experience in transport would be ideal
