Salary: Up to £65,000 per annum (pro rata for the six-month contract)

About the Role:
We are seeking a Legal Counsel to join our clients In-House legal department on a six month fixed term contract, ideally starting in mid/late August (or early September at the latest). This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact within the organisation, focusing on general commercial agreements, consumer rights and data privacy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating general commercial agreements, including supply contracts and terms of business.
  • Advising on data privacy matters and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Providing guidance on consumer rights and regulations.
  • Collaborating with various departments to mitigate legal risks and ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • Supporting the business with day-to-day legal queries and issues.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Qualified to practice law in the UK or a common jurisdiction, with experience working in the UK essential.
  • Demonstrated expertise in general commercial agreements and data privacy.
  • Ideally, experience with consumer rights and regulations.
  • In-house legal experience is preferred, though we are open to candidates from private practice backgrounds.

What We Offer:

  • Salary up to £65,000 per annum (pro rata for the duration of the contract) plus benefits.
  • Flexible hybrid working arrangement, with three days in the office and two days working remotely
