Operations Controller

Our Harworth site have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Controller to join their team on a full time permanent basis. Salary: Night Allowance per annumWorking hours: 4 on 4 off NIGHTS 18:00 to 06:00 As the Operations Controller you will contribute to the success of the site by supporting the day-to-day running of the warehouse ensuring that all schedules for inbound receipts and outbound loads are run efficiently. Responsibilities of the Operations Controller include:Efficiently managing the outbound schedule to ensure collection and delivery times are met.Issuing instructions to designated staff to maintain a smooth flow of inbound and outbound work.Controlling paperwork for outbound vehicles ensuring 100% accuracy.Being the initial point of contact for all drivers arriving on site.Communicating issues to Shift Managers in a timely manner to minimise disruption to the schedule.Participating as an active member of the operations team and to offer suggestions for solving problems improving efficiency customer and quality focus.Maintaining good communication with transport providers to ensure late collections and delivery failures are avoided.Producing a thorough detailed handover to the following shift highlighting potential issues reminders and current state of play.Qualifications : Proven experience within a similar fast-paced role.Ability to prioritise work based on scheduling and available resources.PC literate in Word Excel and Outlook with the ability to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.Must be a team player who is capable of working on your own initiative.Able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of on-site systems.Experience and good working knowledge of Autostore and RF kit.Strong communication skills with the ability to demonstrate a courteous and professional attitude towards customers and third party hauliers.Excellent time management skills and ability to solve problems.Additional Information : As part of our drive to make Great Bear a great place to work we are proud to be an inclusive and diverse organisation where we are committed to employee development and recognising success for hard working performers.Our dedicated learning and development programmes are open to every employee to give you the opportunity to shape your own future within logistics and continue to work in an environment where team culture thrives.Our people are the driving force behind our success which is why we offer a wide range of benefits which include:Annual Leave 20 days inclusive of the bank holidays.
