About Us

We are a dynamic and fast-growing investment manager with four offices and a team of over 200 professionals. Our mission is to invest for returns while making a positive impact on the world, integrating sustainability, stewardship, and governance into everything we do. As a net zero carbon asset manager and a certified B Corporation, we are committed to people, planet, and profit.

Diversity is crucial to us, and we value the unique perspectives it brings. Our core values—being bold, ambitious, straightforward, and supportive—guide our investments and team culture.

About the Team

The Renewable Developments team is a 22-member strong renewable development and delivery business responsible for identifying renewable energy project opportunities and managing grid connection, land agreement, and planning processes to achieve successful project development. Post-development, our in-house team delivers and operates projects long-term.

Initially, we focused on the UK, where we have a 6GW pipeline of solar, wind, and battery projects. We have since expanded our development teams to Sweden and Finland for project development activities in the Nordic region.

Role and Responsibilities

Join our growing team in Glasgow as a Land Manager to secure necessary land agreements for high-quality renewable energy projects.

Key Activities:

  • Identify and engage with potential landowners.
  • Conduct initial feasibility assessments.
  • Negotiate Heads of Terms.
  • Prepare and register land agreements, including leases, options, wayleaves, and letters of authority.
  • Instruct and manage necessary legal support.
  • Mentor and manage junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the internal land function.
  • Manage the team, report, and oversee networks of land agents and legal support.
  • Collaborate with planning and engineering teams.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Land, Legal, or Planning Qualification (minimum degree level).
  • At least 5 years of experience in the renewable energy industry, particularly in Project Management for solar PV, battery storage, and onshore wind projects.
  • RICS qualification.
  • Experience in land assembly and managing land budgets.
  • Experience managing agents and legal support to prepare and conclude land agreements.
  • Understanding of planning and consenting processes.
  • Experience in contract preparation and managing and negotiating tender processes (including consultancy services).
  • Experience managing project stakeholders, including regulators, statutory consultees, and local communities.
  • Experience managing project teams and budgets.
  • Ability to translate technical details into commercial impact.
  • Ability to manage multiple project tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.

If you meet these qualifications and are passionate about renewable energy, we would love to hear from you. Join us in making a positive impact on the world while driving successful renewable energy projects.
