Occupational Therapist, Blackburn Pay rate to £30 per hourContract roleWe are recruiting for an experienced Occupational Therapist to work in a team in Blackburn.Job PurposeWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in Blackburn with Darwen on a locum basis. This role involves delivering essential community-based assessments and interventions for individuals requiring moving and handling support to promote independence, safety, and well-being.Key Responsibilities: Conduct community assessments in a local authority setting, identifying needs and recommending both standard and specialist equipment for moving and handling.Perform comprehensive moving and handling assessments, ensuring safe practices and compliance with relevant guidelines.Collaborate with residents, families, and other professionals to create individualised support plans focused on safe mobility and handling.To assess and demonstrate single handed solutions to meeting handling needs in a community setting.Maintain thorough and accurate records in line with professional and legal standards.Provide demonstration and instruction to formal and informal care providers on the safe moving and handling practice and use of equipment provided from the outcome of the assessment.
