Summary

A UK BESS and Solar PV developer are seeking a Project Manager who will be responsible for the delivery of two grid scale BESS projects (initially) as well as future BESS and Solar PV projects across the UK

As BESS Project Manager you’ll be part of a small dynamic team to help with the delivery of UK projects in the BESS sector.

The role is home based, with travel to sites across the UK on a regular basis, delivering projects.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the delivery of BESS projects guaranteeing company expectations are met on safety, quality, cost, time and risk management.
  • Create and update project management files
  • Ensure the EPC company carries out their work in line with the contract.
  • Secure resources to complete the tasks defined
  • Liaise with external stakeholders to guarentee desired project outcomes.
  • Visit UK BESS and solar sites, meeting landowners, attending external meetings and public engagement events
  • Ensure project quality is met by verification and recording of commissioning test results
  • Compile reports for management and the board.
  • Build and review project management processes associated with the position.
  • Represent the businesses at landowner and industry events.


Requirements

As BESS Project Manager you will have the following experience:

  • 5+ year’s experience in project management of electrical power projects (ideally BESS, Solar PV or similar)
  • Experience in working with landowners on site agreements as well as wayleaves and easements
  • Understanding of project management methods.
  • Ability to manage various workstreams
  • Self-motivated and pursue tasks on own initiative.
  • Competency with planning software such as Primavera, MS Project etc.
  • Familiarity with transmission system grid connections, safety rules etc.
