As an Electrical Control & Instrumentation Technician for our clients Gas Storage Assets youll play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our site in Northwich. Prepare and implement electrical/C&I isolations when maintenance or repairs are needed. Oversee specialist contractors when required coordinating maintenance work safely and efficiently. Respond as part of the Emergency Response Team during site incidents. Investigate operational issues identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Work with scheduling team to plan maintenance activities optimising downtime and resource use. Help train new staff and share operational knowledge to support team growth. Requirements: Recognised time-served apprenticeship in Electrical or Control & Instrumentation.Minimum of 5 years experience maintaining processing or gas / chemical / COMAH-type plants (or similar industrial environments). NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant field. Strong knowledge of C&I systems and safety protocolsExperience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) preferably ABB 800xA. Strong communication and ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders. Willingness to commit to on-call rota (because of site-based 24/7 operations). Preferably living within 30 minutes of Northwich given on-call requirements.
