You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a base salary of £35,026 to £39,508 per annum, depending upon experience. This is a hybrid role with 3 days per week in the office (with travel countrywide, based on needs).

About the role:
You’ll work within the Commercial and Procurement Team providing
professional procurement support to internal clients throughout KFRS, principally budget managers and customers who request orders to be placed.
You will liaising with external clients, suppliers and procuring organisations in support of KFRS’ procurement work plan.

What you'll do:
- Procure and mobilise new contracts for FM services across the KFRS estate in line with Public Contract Regulation 2015, KFRS’s own policies and procedures and the forthcoming Procurement Act 2023.
- Assist with ongoing contract management of new and existing contacts.
- Lead and provide support in developing and promoting an innovative approach to procurement and market analysis.
- Provide data and supplier analysis and support new methods of service delivery to achieve, not only best value in procurement, but continuous improvement through effective contract management.
- Support the Category Manager in designing and delivering local strategies to maximise collaboration opportunities across the Blue Light sector.
What you'll bring:
- Experience of Public Sector procurement, the Public Contract Regulations 2015 and be aware of the new Public Procurement Act 2023.
- You will be aware of the government’s Find a Tender Service (FTS).
- You will ideally have procurement experience within the area of Property and Facilities Management.
- You will be/or have the willingness to study to become (with full support), a Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) or be working towards full CIPS membership
