This is a great opportunity to gain valuable experienced whilst working towards a level 3 qualification.Working weekMonday-Friday - term time only8.40-3.4032.5 hours per week totalWage14566.15QualificationTeaching Assistant level 3Duration: 16 monthsTraining Provider: LMP EducationDuties and ResponsibilitiesSUPPORT FOR PUPILSSupervise and provide particular support for pupils including those with special needs ensuring their safety and access to learning activitiesAssist with the development and implementation of education healthcare plan outcomes Support Plans Individual Education Plans and Personal Care programmesEstablish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needsPromote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupilsEncourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacherSet challenging and demanding expectations and promote self-esteem and independenceProvide feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement under guidance of the teacherSUPPORT FOR TEACHERSCreate and maintain a purposeful orderly and supportive environment in accordance with lesson plans and assist with the display of pupils workUse strategies in liaison with the teacher to support pupils to achieve learning goalsAssist with the planning of learning activitiesMonitor pupils responses to learning activities and accurately record achievement/ progress as directedProvide detailed and regular feedback to teachers on pupils achievement progress challenges etc.Promote good pupil behaviour in line with established policyEstablish constructive relationships with parents/carersProvide clerical/admin support e.g. photocopying typing filing administer coursework etc.SUPPORT FOR THE CURRICULUMUndertake structured and agreed learning activities/teaching programmes adjusting activities according to pupil responsesUndertake programmes linked to local and national learning strategies e.g. literacy numeracy early years recording achievement and progress and feeding back to the teacherSupport the use of ICT in learning activities and develop pupils competence and independence in its usePrepare maintain and use equipment/resources required to meet the lesson plans/relevant learning activity and assist pupils in their useSUPPORT FOR THE SCHOOLBe aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection health safety and security confidentiality and data protection reporting all concerns to an appropriate personBe aware of and support difference and ensure all pupils have equal access to opportunities to learn and developContribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the schoolAppreciate and support the role of other professionalsAttend and participate in relevant meetings as requiredParticipate in training and other learning activities and performance development as requiredAssist with the supervision of pupils throughout the school day this may include before and after school and at lunchtimeAccompany teaching staff and pupils on visits trips and out of school activities as required and take responsibility for a group under the supervision of the teacherSkills and AttributesAbility to self-evaluate learning needs and actively seek learning opportunities Ability to manage the physical demands associated with the role including moving and handling supporting the regulation and behaviour needs of pupils and the movement of equipment around school.Effective use of ICT to support learning Use of other equipment and technology - video photocopier. Ability to relate well to children and adults Able to work constructively as part of a team.
