Are you looking for a role that supports hybrid working as opposed to 5 days a week in the office?
A well-respected civil engineering contractor has an open position for a Design Manager to be based out of their office in the North West. They are a civil engineering contractor who are proven within the industry, with several projects across the board stretching across the country, they are seeking an individual with a managerial background to look after the design team on a range of different projects.
Your duties and responsibilities:
- Managing designs at the preconstruction and construction stages of projects.
- Producing and reviewing design programmes and design scopes.
- Attending and presenting at meetings with all stakeholders.
- Ensuring that design and technical requirements are compliant with the legislation.
- Ensuring sustainability requirements are embedded within the design
- Coordinating the design team.
- Liaising with the wider project team to ensure construction adheres to design.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent qualification)
- Ability to show experience gained in a similar role (ideally major projects/tier 1 experience)
- Good communication skills
