Job Objectives & Responsibilities:
Upholster divan bases to exact quality specification and comply with companys high standards.
Main Duties:
  • Prepare work to be upholstered; frame, tick checking against production ticket
  • Positioning and competently attaching tick using compressed air tools.
  • Visually check finished item to ensure 100% accuracy, right first time.
  • Ensure tasks are completed within set timescales, maintaining quality.
  • Discuss complications or assembly line slow downs with Team Leader and come up with solutions for increased productivity
  • Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Monitor and record scrap/Yield.
  • Meet the required output demand
  • Assist other operatives with lifting when required.
  • Any other duties deemed necessary.

Key Skills:
  • Experience in Divan upholstery/upholstery
  • Good communication skills
  • Self-motivated
  • The ability to stand, walk and move for up to 10 hours per day
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Team player.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Dexterity
