Job Title: Divan Upholsterer

We are seeking a skilled Divan Upholsterer to join our team at Harrison Spinks. As a Divan Upholsterer, you will be responsible for upholstering divan bases to a high standard and meeting the required output level.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Upholster divan bases to a high standard and the required output level.
  • Ensure that the Headboard or divan is upholstered to the correct quality standard.
  • Follow all the Health and Safety guidelines.
  • Prepare work to be upholstered; frame, tick checking against production ticket.
  • Positioning and competently attaching tick using compressed air tools.
  • Visually check finished item to ensure 100% accuracy, right first time.
  • Ensure tasks are completed within set timescales, maintaining quality.
  • Discuss complications or assembly line slowdowns with Team Leader and come up with solutions for increased productivity.
  • Identify and report any issues that you encounter.
  • Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Monitor and record scrap/Yield.
  • Meet the required output demand (after signing off).
  • Assist other operatives with lifting when required.
  • Any other duties deemed necessary.
  • Ensure that housekeeping is kept up to standard in your area throughout the shift.
  • Adhere to the company recycling targets.
Requirements:
  • Be able to deep Button.
  • Experience in Divan upholstery/upholstery.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Displays integrity.
  • Have high standards of themselves.
  • The ability to stand, walk and move for up to 10 hours per day.
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Team player.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Dexterity.
  • Comfortable with Heavy Lifting.

  • Enthusiastic and flexible approach to react on a day-to-day basis to all requests.
  • Good dexterity and intricate upholstery skills.
  • Ability to self-manage your time during the working day.
  • Must be of smart appearance and adhere to Companys uniform policy.
  • Impeccable time keeping.
