Greenwellgleeson are recruiting for a Financial Controller to work with a manufacturing/ construction business based in Swadlincote. Duties of the role will include:* Full preparation and control of the production and manufacturing accounts* Preparation of monthly management accounts* Preparation of regular group reports including monthly management accounts, cash reporting and quarterly statutory consolidation;* Working with site teams and the shared service department to review and understand monthly costs whilst improving reporting accuracy;* Periodically visiting job sites;* Reconciling key balance sheet accounts;* Preparation of year end accounts and group consolidation (IFRS);* Compliance activities: audit, tax and statutory returns; * Provide technical accounting guidance where needed re UK/international GAAP;* Support Chief Financial Officer in preparation of plans/forecasts; and* Support Chief Financial Officer on ad hoc commercial projectsSkills, Requirements, Qualifications * Qualified Accountant * Manufacturing or Production Accounting experience.* Proven staff management and motivation skills.* Hands on with ability to get into the detail* Strong Excel skills* Strong skills in accuracy and attention to detail* Ability to work well under pressure in order to meet strict deadlines* Self-starter and ability to work with minimal supervisionIf you'd like to find out more about the role, please apply with your CV.
