Position Overview


A senior private markets origination banker responsible for originating, structuring, executing and distributing private markets transactions.


This role involves working closely with borrowers, assessing their financing needs, and developing tailored solutions.


The individual will be responsible for maintaining and expanding relationships with corporate and institutional clients.


The candidate will develop a small, but effective team, initially in the UK, but with a global remit, in due course. You will be part of a senior management team, with ambitions to build a multi-faceted corporate and institutional financial services boutique.


Key Responsibilities

  • Origination and Structuring:
  • Meeting with potential clients and develop a pipeline of opportunities
  • Evaluating private markets opportunities, for capital markets distribution.
  • Developing and structuring bespoke solutions for clients.
  • Preparing and presenting detailed proposals to potential investors.


  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with corporates, financial sponsors and institutional clients.
  • Providing ongoing advisory and support to clients, ensuring their financing needs are met.
  • Conduct regular client, and potential client, meetings to assess support required in meeting their financing requirements.


  • Risk Management:
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.


  • Market Analysis:
  • Conducting market research to stay informed about industry trends and developments.
  • Providing insights and recommendations based on market analysis.


  • Collaboration:
  • Working closely with internal teams and external service providers, including legal, compliance, and operations, to ensure seamless execution of transactions.
  • Collaborating with other bankers and financial advisors to cross-sell products and services.


  • Reporting and Documentation:
  • Maintaining accurate records of all client interactions and transactions.


Qualifications

  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in private credit, leveraged finance, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of originating, structuring and distributing private markets transactions.


  • Skills:
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with high-net-worth individuals and institutional clients.
  • In-depth knowledge of private markets and products.
  • Strong negotiation and structuring skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools.
