We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Sous Chef to join our clients team in a unique and exciting role within an educational setting. This role will be to cater 1400 meals a day , this will include nursery to senior school as well as staff. You will also be catering for events Key Responsibilities:
  • Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation
  • Manage and train kitchen staff, establish working schedule and assess staff's performance
  • Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately
  • Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers
  • Adhering to food hygiene and health & safety policies.
  • Order supplies and stock inventory as needed
  • Deep knowledge of cooking methods, equipment, ingredients, and procedures
  • Formal culinary training is a plus
  • Ability to problem-solve on the spot and give clear directions
About You:
  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • Able to manage a team and kitchen operations.
  • Proficiency in nutrition, portion control, food planning, and preparation.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with students, staff, and suppliers.
  • Basic Food Hygiene certificate
  • An innate passion for food and cooking, with a creative and innovative approach to menu creation.
