Your new role

Created on the back of continued investment, this role will appeal to a professional with strong exposure to Procurement and Engineering. Working in a complex, fast-moving working environment, this role will work closely with Engineering design change activities, New Product Introductions and manufacturing transfers to ensure design, manufacturing process, and supplier selection decisions are optimised.

Key areas of focus will include: championing early supplier involvement and promote supplier innovation of manufacturing and assembly; lead value engineering and design to cost exercises to drive cost efficiencies; identify and drive Total Cost of Ownership and RFQ opportunities to achieve target costs and alignment with commodity strategies. This role will work closely with and drive synergies with key internal stakeholders across procurement, manufacturing, quality, engineering and R&D.

To succeed in this role With a demonstrable understanding of a variety of manufacturing technologies and commodities, you will have defined experience within a Procurement capacity and ideally have manufacturing engineering experience. You may be working in a Procurement, Engineering, Supply Chain or Project Management capacity. An Engineering, Science or Procurement/Supply Chain related qualification would be advantageous, with a defined interest on developing this experience further across materials, technologies, supplier and manufacturing processes.

Experience working with PCBA, cables, optics, metal fabrication, metal machining and plastic moulding would be useful but not essential. With strong influencing and communication skills, you will have strong problem-solving ability and a high attention to detail. You will have excellent planning and project management skills and be self-motivated in your pursuit of delivering team and personal goals.
