Our client competes in the #CPG sector, has a genuinely unique proposition and has gained impressive distribution, coupled with a loyal consumer / shopper base. The time now is to scale the brand, the new Marketing Director a crucial part of the jigsaw. Already backed by a supportive PE and Board, the successful individual will report to the Managing Director and be a key part of the SLT.

  • Brand Building and Innovation
  • Proven success in developing and executing brand strategies.
  • Experience in EPD / NPD
  • You know what great looks like and challenge the status quo.
  • Experience of building / growing brands across different channels including grocery (mandatory) and ideally D2C, planning and executing integrated campaigns across the relevant (on & offline) media.
  • Evidence of segmenting & targeting consumers at key milestones such as awareness, trial & HH penetration for the brand, whilst tracking equity measures are in line with strategy

  • Ability to manage the P&L and deliver financial targets.

  • Experience in leading and motivating marketing teams.
  • Ability to develop talent and foster a collaborative team environment.

  • Deep understanding of consumer behavior and market trends.
  • You'll be comfortable in leveraging data and insights to inform marketing strategies, that are consumer led as well as commercially sound.


  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate brand vision and strategy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.


  • Adaptability and Agility
  • Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and business needs.
  • Agile approach to marketing, can see more than one way to achieve a goal or tackle an issue.


The above summary outlines the necessary skills and experience required for this Marketing Director position, ensuring it sets them up for success. The overall emphasis being a balance between FMCG sector expertise combined with being up to speed on current consumer & shopper trends in media consumption etc.


NB: Individuals with limited or no experience of marketing brands into the UK Grocery channel will not be considered for this Marketing Director role.
