VP of Platform Engineering | Fintech | London (Ideally 1-2 days in London)A scaling, global fintech, powering top-tier e-commerce, payments, and tech brands is looking for a VP of Platform Engineering to lead the next phase of platform maturity.This is a senior leadership position it requires a 50:50 balance of:deep technical background in architecting and operating high performance platforms, microservices, API-driven development, and distributed systems.leading and developing teams - the platform team is 20 people. You will lead and foster a high performance culture, reducing silos in and engaging across the business to add value.This is your opportunity to:Build and scale high-performance, secure, cloud-native infrastructureLead platform architecture, CI/CD, DevOps tooling, observability, and securityAdd value across the whole business taking the DevEx concept and broadening to all internal functions.Impact product lines used across 9+ international marketsOwn platform reliability, developer experience, and operational excellenceDrive a forward-thinking engineering culture focused on velocity and resilienceThe right candidate will be super focused on the culture and team development, with strong experience of leader (not just managing) in a high growth environment.You'll bring:✅ Deep cloud & platform engineering experience (AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD, IaC)✅ Proven leadership of high-performing platform/infrastructure teams✅ A strategic mindset with the ability to scale systems in complex environments✅ Experience in high-growth, product-led tech environments (fintech a bonus)This is a mission-critical leadership role with real impact on growth, scale, and innovation.
