ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a new role and a key one in the Management team. You will be responsible for the development and delivery of capital projects on the Island and at Hell Bay Hotel as well as the management and deployment of the Island Services Team, which covers all on-island and Hell Bay electrical, plumbing, appliances, water, sewage, heating and refrigeration requirements, together with building maintenance. There is currently a team of six services operatives including the Services Manager. The Services Manager has managerial responsibility for the Services Team.

We have a contractor who delivers our capital projects each winter, these include but are not limited to roads, new builds (both domestic and commercial), complete refurbishments of commercial and domestic premises, and quays

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

You will be a reliable professional with broad knowledge of property construction and servicing. Your experience must have seen you successfully delivering varied capital projects under challenging conditions, where relationships, resourcefulness and excellent project management bear fruit. Your past care of estates and the built environment will demonstrate you understand mission-critical services and the need to maintain a functioning infrastructure. You will be comfortable as a hands-on leader of a small team, as well as reporting to and advising the CEO, the board and family on all facilities and project matters.
