Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Management: Oversee hard and soft service maintenance operations, including budgeting, scheduling, and planning tasks, as well as arranging and coordinating with external contractors.
  • Site Strategy: Define the site strategy for the delivery of all aspects of property services, ensuring compliance with contractual documentation and regulations.
  • Project Support: Provide input and advice to project and trial readiness reviews, inspections, and services for upgrading.
  • Financial Management: Manage budgets and financial aspects, including cost centre budgets, demand plans, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Continuous Improvement: Analyse opportunities for continuous improvement on site, identifying areas for process improvement, equipment upgrades, and employee placement.
  • Risk Management: Foresee and plan to avoid potential impacts on the delivery of capability or site tenants.
  • Contract Management: Deal with outsourced contracts and contractors, covering logistical, financial, and regulatory aspects, while building customer satisfaction through effective operations teams.
Goals and Objectives
  • NetZero Target: Support QinetiQ's NetZero target by identifying opportunities at the sites in Kyle of Lochalsh/Benbecula.
  • Property Services Strategy: Define strategy on all aspects of property services delivery and ensure compliance is maintained accurately and aligned to contractual documentation.
Requirements
  • Experience: Experience in scheduling, planning, and overseeing routine maintenance, hard and soft services, including lifting and shifting, cleaning, and grounds maintenance operations.
  • Leadership: Managing key management figures, engineers, operatives, and external stakeholders.
  • Financial Management: Budgeting and financial management experience.
  • Resource Management: Organising, managing, and monitoring resources, risks, and issues, as well as conflict management.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Compliance to regulations experience.
  • Change Management: A change management champion, resilient.

  • Health & Safety: Health & Safety qualification (IOSH or NEBOSH General Certificate).
